DASC swimmers delivered a strong set of performances at the recent 400m Gala, taking on the demanding 400m Freestyle and 400m Individual Medley events across all age groups.
The main highlight of the gala was a new DASC Club Gala Record, with Alexander Morton setting a new standard in the 400m Individual Medley for the 15 and over age group. This was an excellent swim in one of the toughest events on the programme and reflected the hard work being put in across the season.
There were many other positive performances throughout the session, including several close races, strong endurance swims and a number of personal best times, particularly from swimmers stepping up to the 400m distance. It was encouraging to see swimmers competing confidently across both freestyle and individual medley events.
Well done to all swimmers who took part. The 400m events are always challenging and every swim showed commitment and determination.
Thank you to the coaches, officials and volunteers for their time and support, which helped ensure the gala ran smoothly and successfully.
